Atypical swallowing is an alteration of the swallowing function. An inadequate posture and/or use of the tongue in the act of swallowing.
It is the difficulty or impossibility of swallowing, which can lead to numerous consequences ranging from a total inability to swallow, coughing or even choking when food or liquid enters the trachea.
Facial paralysis is defined as an alteration that can affect both the movement and the sensitivity of the face caused by the involvement of the facial nerve (VII cranial nerve).
