Children with R.S.L. (language delay) have a significant gap in the appearance or development of all levels of language (phonological, morphosyntactic, semantic and pragmatic) and it affects expression, and to a lesser extent understanding, without this being due to a generalized developmental disorder, hearing deficit or neurological disorders. It usually affects more than one level of language, with phonology and syntax being the most affected.
