We call dysphonia the alteration of the acoustic qualities of the voice.
Childhood dysphonia has an alteration of vocal function, mainly caused by a disturbance of the vocal attitude (excessive screaming, being in environments with an inadequate level of humidity...). They can be complicated by organic lesions of the larynx caused by overexertion or by transient organic disorders.
